COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES

Irish Distillers

A full retrofit of the site was carried out in 2022.

The design aspect of this was key as the stick and plume from the flues is highly flammable given the nature of the environment and what is produced.

This was achieved under budget and on time and the client was more than satisfied with the work.

Dundrum Shopping Centre

Built in 2005, Rainey were appointed through Mercury Engineering to carry out the LP installation on Ireland Largest Shopping Centre.
The scale of the project was a challenge but one that was achieved through planing and management.
With an estimated footfall of 18 million people annually our system protects many lives.

Aviva Stadium

No introduction needed for this one. Hosting Irish Rugby and Football national teams as well as the world’s biggest icons such as Taylor Swift.

The Aviva stadium has been a revelation since it was built on the site of Lansdowne Road in 2009. The mass of structural steel offered a natural faraday cage here but careful planning and design was required to alleviate the risk of step and touch voltage / potential to fans standing in and around steel columns in the event of a strike.

Shelbourne Hotel

The Shelbourne Hotel has been one of Irelands and Europe’s grandest Hotels for many years. During refurbishment works our the brief was to install a lightning protection system (LPS) that minimised the visual aspect of the LPS so as not to detract from the glorious georgian red brick facade of the hotel.
